Hello all. My wife has already received her date for the I-129 interview, the 13th of April. We just sent in our final I-130 papers and I was just wondering if anyone has ever used the date for their I-129F interview as the date for their I-130 interview? Is that even possible? Our I-130 will be ready before the interview for the I-129F, it seems to be it would be easy to just switch the interview, but then again the beaurocratic process is never easy. I would appreciate any information anyone has or if anyone has ever been able to do this and how I would need to go about trying to set that up. THANKS!!!

Wait Im lost, you got your interview for the I-129F for a K3 visa, but what do you mean you sent in the final I-130 papers???

It looks like from your profile you filed for a CR-1 . Which means you would not of filed a I-129F. A CR-1 you only file a I-130.

Are you meaning to say you filed for a K3 but what to flip? and go for the I-130 CR-1 interview???

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

NO, unless the I-130 petition makes it to the consulate BEFORE the K-3 interview, and then YES the consulate will drop the K-3 in favor of the CR-1.

If it looks like I-130 may make it to consulate around the time of K-3 interview, or perhaps just after K-3 interview, then contact DOS or Consulate and see about re-scheduling the K-3 interview, you can be honest and explain that you wish to pursue the CR-1 (I-130) case.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Thank you! Ive been contacting the NVC because I know they schedule the interview for the I-130, but they told me I had to contact the embassy in Russia to find out about switching the interview date. But everyone I talk to at the NVC gives me a different answer to my question that I dont know who to trust. I appreciate the help!
