My fiancee is coming for a visit next week. WOOHOO! anyways, we have not sent the i-129f petition in. Ive workd on it a lil, collected some evidence, read from the board from time to time, etc.. but not much else since we decided to send it in while she is here instead and then we will add new evidence and updated info.

We just didnt want to take chances of her bring turned away.

She does have an engagement ring though, Im concerned about her POE interview. she should probably just keep her answers brief and say shes here to visit. Im just worried that they will see the ring and think shes here to marry someone and stay. She is bringing a letter from her school stating she has to return for hew next semester but its not translated. Although there are many POE officers who are bilingual.

Thoughts anyone?

She could be engaged to someone from her home country for all the POE officer knows. No worries about telling the truth. We've had a K1 on file since April and my fiance had no trouble entering 4 weeks ago...

I'd file ASAP if I were you... it's going to take a while.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

My boyfriend gave me a small diamond ring for my birthday last year. It's not an engagement ring, but it looks sort of like one and I wear it on that finger. I just put it in my pocket when I go through Canadian customs. And when they ask: 'yes, it's summer vacation, I'm visiting my boyfriend and his family before the new school year gets underway.' Never had any problems. (Granted, this was to Canada, but still.)

As I'm accumulating more and more passport stamps, this time I'll be bringing the lease (signed two days before my trip) and my teaching assignment letter for the new school year.

Holy c rap!

Hee hee...I'm punny.

Hold on to what is good even if it is a handful of earth.

Hold on to what you believe even if it is a tree which stands by itself.

Hold on to what you must do even if it is a long way from here.

Hold on to life even when it is easier letting go.

Hold on to my hand even when I have gone away from you.

Also make sure she brings lots of proof of ties to her home so they don't question her about her intentions - the letter is a good start - other good things are proof of property, proof of ties to family, proof of employment, etc.
