Married, now what?

Hello Everyone

It has been a long time since I have posted. I moved to the US in December on my K-1 and we just got married on Saturday. We have the marriage certificate back already (yay for it being super fast!) but I need to know what I need to do next. Can someone please direct me to the next form I need so that I can start working and travelling.

You now need to apply for Adjustment of Status/Advance Parole/Employment Auth Document.... the cost is $1010 for all 3. If you read the guides above there are sample forms and you can get all the forms on USCIS website. Read the "adjustment of status" guide, it has all the info you need.

It's awful! And of course you have to pay to get more photos taken, and in 2 years pay again to remove conditions.... they never stop gouging us!

can you tell me the forms by # so I know which ones to download? sorry, its kinda confusing

No problem, the 3 forms needed are:

I-130, I-485, I-765

And for the adjustment of status application, you need to again prove that your husband can support you, by providing tax documents, letter from work, etc. It's almost like doing the original affidavit of support ALL over again. Fun times

Sorry, typo on my part. I-131 is the advance parole form. I-485 is the AOS. I-765 is EAD form. If you visit USCIS and click on IMMIGRATION FORMS at the top, there are your forms all listed.
