I-130 Approval Time

Just wondering what is the current time frame for an approval on I-130 for Parents of a citizen. I've checked the USCIS processing time page, but we all know that they are not the most accurate times. We would be filing with Texas Service Center.

If anyone can shade some light on this that would be great!

2. Removal of Conditions [Complete/2007-2008/Total Days: 388]

3. Citizenship [Completed/2008-2009/Total Days: 113]

It took us 1496 days from day I filed I-130 to Citizenship & Oath.

I-130s are currently being processed by either the Vermont or California Service Centers. It can take anywhere from 6-12 months for them to approve a petition depending on the service center. You can also check similar timelines here on VJ by searching under IR-1/CR-1 visa type which is the closest one to your case.

05/03/07 - NOA2

05/10/07 - NVC receives petition, case # assigned

08/08/07 - Case Complete

09/27/07 - Interview, visa granted

10/02/07 - POE

11/16/07 - Received green card and Welcome to America letter in the mail

Removing Conditions

07/06/09 - I-751 sent to CSC

08/14/09 - Biometrics

09/27/09 - Approved

10/01/09 - Received 10 year green card

U.S. Citizenship

03/30/11 - N-400 sent via Priority Mail w/ delivery confirmation

05/12/11 - Biometrics

07/20/11 - Interview - passed

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview

CSC and VSC are the only centers that do I-130 for family based petitions, look there.

I-130 for a parent (IR-5) processes the same way as for a spouse, look at the VJ timelines for IR-1 and CR1- visas

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
