I need an advice. I am on the process of completing my medical exam. Since I had my period last week I need to come back this week for the physical exam as well as the vaccination which will take me just one more day. I had my index finger accidentally cut with a knife this afternoon and I got 4 stitches in it. Will they be needing my finger prints later in the process?

You'll need to have your fingerprint done at the interview, at least I had to in Canada, although it was just one finger. My finger in fact, while not having stitches or a scar didn't pick up on the screen well, and they just used another finger on another hand. It wasn't all my fingers, just one. I'm sure you could pick one that didn't have stitches on it.

For your biometrics, once in the USA after marriage, after applying for your AOS, you'll need all your fingers printed, and by then your stitches of course will be out, and I wouldn't anticipate a problem.

Thank you so much for this information. It helps. My interview's gonna be this 9th of March & my doctor said it'll take at least two weeks for the wound to heal. I only have one finger that has been sutured so I'm hoping they'll just prefer to use a different finger for the finger printing.
