Interview Completed-Decision not made Pending security

Our interview got completed yesterday but even before the oath the IO said that our security check is pending and that we would do the test and the 400 app review and after the test gave us N652 and that we should hear about the oath date between 30-90 days. Has anyone has this issue before. We have clean case not sure what is going on

At my interview--there was an 'extra file" that they had to look at--the file was at their central holdign buildin gin Nebraska (I was in VA) About 1 month later I got my oath ceremony letter,

Sorry to hear that. I am under the impression that generally before the interview all the checks are done and completed and then interview letter arrives...Not heard of somthing like that before.

May be other members might give some input.

Generally speaking USCIS policy is not to call you to interview unless all security checks are complete - the simple reason being that on completion of a successful interview they are required to give you your oath witin 4 months - if they fail to do this you can bring legal action to force them to.

This they want to avoid.
