They say on the list of requirements for the interview that they need proof of payment for the visas at the bank.

What does the bank give out as proof? Is it just a receipt?

They will stamp the back of your 156. Make sure you have it just the way you want it first. It would be a shame if you got the stamp then messed up filling out the form.

I wonder if someone could clarify something for me. It's been over 5 weeks since they sent my fiancee her packet, but so far she hasn't received it yet. I called today and i guess she can go anytime and they are just going to send the packet to the Medical Center a week before. But i'm not totally sure about how we pay for the Medical and Interview.

I know we have to pay the bank for the Interview fee, But it's the Form DS-156 that needs to be stamped right? Not DS-156K or DS-157? Also do you just pay the Medical fee at St. Lukes or at the bank also? Sorry guys, i couldn't find anything certain. I wanted to get it all taken care of before she went to Manila.

Hello friends,

Below is our updated list. I hope we can get everyone back on the list again. If there are corrections, please let me know.

Regarding the medical examination which I underwent yesterday, please be informed that this takes one and a half days to complete so set aside two days for the medical.

Here are tips for the medical. List down the following info on a piece of paper. You will be asked to fill out forms and these info are always asked: your passport number, your child's passport number (if you have one) manila case number, your fiance's US address, fiance's US number.

Bring the following:

1) Your passport plus photocopy of appointment letter (one for yourself, one for child, if any)

2) 5,035 per person in Philippine pesos for medical fee, they don't accept dollars.

3) 3 pieces 2 x 2 photos (1 for medical day, and the other 2 for US embassy which you will submit to St. Lukes on the 2nd day of your medical)

4) old x-rays (for yourself and your child)

5) your baby book (vaccination record) if still available and that of your child

6) Wet wipes (there's no "tabo" in the toilets, remember you have to undergo a physical exam and you want to be clean)

7) Eyeglasses, if you wear one (needed for eye exam)

8) Don't wear rubber shoes and socks, they're very inconvenient when taking measurements. Wear step-ins.

9) Wear clothes that you can easily take off (for x-ray and physical exam)

10) Eat heavy breakfast. St. Lukes do not allow food inside. No need to fast before the medical.

11) Bring ballpen.

I have to go now and go to St. Lukes again for my shots. See ya all tomorrow.

Hello Windchaser,

Medical fee is paid at St. Lukes while interview fee is paid at BPI before the interview date. Payment will be stamped on the DS 156 form.

Nothing wrong. The new system he set up will add the 2 posts together if you reply in a certain amount of time. Anywayz, thanks for the info. That stuff really help me for sure, just wondering how the heck we would get old X-rays hehe.
