Using the Day portion of the Case number, we can estimate how many days of approved petitions are being covered in a month of interviews. We have no choice but to try to guess the dividing line month-by-month but it can't be too far off.

Interview Month......Petition Range....Number of Days Approved Petitions

September.............620 – 653...........33 days

October...............654 – 693...........41 days

November..............694 - 720...........27 days

December..............721 - 731...........11 days (jeez!!)

January...............732 - 756...........25 days

Febrary...............757 - ???...........?? days

So what can we expect for February interviews? I’m guessing that it will be slightly fewer days of approved petitions than January. For one thing, February has fewer days. But also it seems like there were more NOA2s per day as the IMBRA backlog was finally being cleared by USCIS. Naturally, we need to set our expectations nice and low as US Immigration continues to deliver their special quality of service.

So, looking in my crystal ball, I forecast about 23 days of petitions for February covering Case numbers 2006-757 through 779. I would be very happy if the USE proves me wrong and picks up the pace.

Looking on the bright side, at least we are receiving pretty fair treatment once the petition gets to NVC and a Case Number is assigned and, by sharing and pooling our info, we have a much better handle on where we line up in the queue. Also, for people who may just fall short of the next month’s interviews, you can be confident you are among the first for the following month. Ronmay, who just missed getting a January date, will among the first in line for February interviews.

Hope this is helpful. Any additional info or comments are welcome.

Looking at this chart, I am thinking that my girl is going to get her interview date early february? Oh God please please please. Anyway good job on doing the chart.

Hey guys, Really good news today....My fiance got her visa from Delbros today out of the blue! She didn't get a text or anything saying they were sending it. I called them the same day it was release and they said there wasn't any news. I was planning on bugging the Congressman's office next week again :P We are so relieved and happy at this point. A pretty good suprise for Thanksgiving! WOW, is this finally happening?? :help: Anyways, i thought i would say thank you to the people who prayed for us, gave us help and encouragement. We thank God that our prayers were finally answered, maybe not in our time but God's time. ;)

Congratulations... at last she got her visa and very soon she'll be there with you... we're so happy for you guys... goodluck and safe trip for her.

I have a question for everybody here...

Is the Embassy now accepting only the Forms like the DS156.... filled out online only? The packet 4 my Fiance recieved says nothing about this & She recieved it well after the Embassy announced they wont accept Handwritten Forms anymore. Should I have her do Both to be sure? I know it has much to do with the Barcode printing for Authenticity right?

My Honey's Interview is a week from Monday

Thank You in Advance...

the Embassy website says only EVAF will be accepted after Nov 1. that's the way my fiancee is doing it. a third page will be printed with a barcode. the barcode contains info entered on the DS-156. the Embassy just needs to scan it to enter into system.

Wow these crystal ball guesses are great.

I was wondering if these estimates will work on I-130 visas.

Since you are going by the case number, I assume all our case numbers would work the same way.

Mine is 2006775xxx so I'm hoping my interview date would be early march.

Anyone know if this chart would apply to I-130 visas as well?

Thanks,

Mike

Mike, I think for I-130 they schedule the interview based on the Date the Case was Completed. And those who got their case completed on August are all waiting for their schedule to come out pretty soon.....It's kind of confusing isn't it???? But dont worry were all gonna get it soon....We just need to be patient...as if its the easiest thing to do!!! Anyway, I hope you'll get it soon and Have a Good Day!!!

I believe biaNcaSheY is right. K visa's and IR visa's are processed differently. with K visa, your put on waiting list when physiscal petition reaches the Embassy. with an IR, believe the case has to be completed

first. My crystal ball has only been calibrated for K Visa's. best of luck, hope your wait isn't too long.

The applicant is scheduled for a visa interview on December 13 at 7:30 a.m. At that time, a consular officer will determine if the applicant is qualified for visa issuance.

On October 16, we mailed the K Packet (Instructions for Fiancée (K1) Nonimmigrant Visa Applicants) with further details regarding the interview and the required medical examination to the applicant’s designated address.

If the applicant has not received the K Packet two weeks before the scheduled interview, she should contact the Embassy's Visa Call Center at telephone 1-909-101-7878 (PLDT and Smart), Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., to make arrangements for securing another copy of the K Packet. There is a fee assessed to callers by the Call Center for its services.

Information on the required application documents is in the instruction packet we provided the applicant. You may visit the Embassy's website at http://philippines.usembassy.gov/wwwh3204.html which also provides information on the visa and immigration processes.

When you say "Forms LIKE the DS156", do you mean ONLY the DS156? Or do you mean DS156K and DS157 must also be done online? I have the link for the DS156 online, but don't see online links for others which generate barcodes.

Hi Mike,

My wife has a late registered birth certificate, born in '69 but did register her birth until 1991. I was told by sillygirl that with a late reg bc they commonly ask for a baptismal certificate, and that should satisfy their requirements. If you wife was baptised then I recommended you have her obtain her baptismal cert. Lacking that, another possible option might be to provide all the documents that were required for her to register for her birth certificate.
