Manila Embassy Interview

I just got back from the bank (Bank of the Philippine Islands) to pay the visa fee. I brought all of my DS forms (just to be sure). Well, BPI did not accept my forms as they prefer to use the ones supplied to them by the embassy. BPI recorded my payment on the DS 157 form (Supplemental Non-Immigrant Visa Application) and not on the DS-156 as I previously posted here. They also gave me a copy of my deposit slip. Exchange rate used was US$1 = P53.00 so I paid P5,300.

That's lame. Why do they care?? You payed the 100 bucks for the stamp, what else would you use it for? :protest::ranting:

Hey PW, Do you need the Packet to take the medical? i read somewhere a copy of the NOA2 or NVC case would work. Because my Fiancee is going to take it earlier than what they said the packet will be at St. Lukes. I guess i can just call the Embassy again and request they send it ahead of time.

In honor of Valentine’s Day, the U.S. Embassy will host a live chat on the fiancée visa process on the Virtual Consulate Davao website. The chat will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 (Philippines Time Zone). Consular officers and staff members will participate in the online discussion and be available to discuss the full range of issues, regulations and timelines affecting K-1 visa applicants. However, questions about specific cases cannot be addressed in this forum.

All those interested in participating in the virtual chat session should register as a user and log in on February 8, at 9am (Philippine time) (February 7, 2006 8pm EST).

To join the chat, follow the instructions on the home page of the Virtual Consulate Davao, http://www.usvirtualconsulatedavao.org.ph/.

Anyone else think this is spam/scam?

Wind, St. Luke's needs only to see the appoinment letter which is part of the packet (but I did bring the entire packet with me just to be on the safe side  ). Since your fiancee did not receive her packet, she should bring the NVC letter which has the Manila case number and NOA2 for added measure. The guards at St. Luke's are very helpful, she can approach them if she has questions.

Friends,

I scanned the contents of the packet using "faxination" (since I don't have a scanner) and now I can't seem to figure out how to paste it to this thread (I'm not tech-savvy  ) so if anyone is interested to see what's inside the mysterious packet, please PM me and provide me with your e-mail address and I'll send you the contents.

PW

It need not be 2 consecutive weekdays. It's okay to come back within the week since the procedures are pretty much done on the first day. Second day is for vaccination.

Wind, I called St. Lukes early this morning (02/07/06 - PI time) asking them if I can have my medical early. They said it's fine as long as I have the appointment letter with me. I asked her what if i don't have the packet yet and she said that's gonna be a problem because they need a copy of the appointment letter. Luckily Delbros delivered my packet later that afternoon :) . So, I guess the Packet is really needed since it has the appointment letter with it. When is your fiancee gonna be having her medical?
