Hi,

I am on H1-B visa and got married to a US Citizen. I am in process of filing family-based greencard.

I read on some websites that along with I-485 we need to submit I-693 Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record & I-485 Supplement A Adjustment of Status Under Section 245(i).

I was under the impression that after we submit :-

1.) I-130 + G-325A (USC)

2.) I-485 + G-325A (Immigrant) + I-864

3.) I-131

4.) I-765

we get a letter from USCIS to have the medical examination done.

Can someone please clarify, whether I need to send I-693, I-485 Supplement A and I-601 with I-485 in initial application or wait for USCIS letter.

Hey,

On I-130 you need to g-325A's one for you and one for your husband. I am not sure about your situation and dont know if you need this-I-485 Supplement A Adjustment of Status Under Section 245(i)

What about the I-693 and the supplemental form you need gto find a civil surgeon and submit it with your I-485,than you have the results. If you dont submit it you will get a RFE about it later or during the interview.

P.S The only website you should read is USCIS.gov

Good luck!!

I-485 Supplement A Adjustment of Status Under Section 245(i).

I don't think you would need this supplement. People who can adujst status under 245i are people who had a petition filed on their behalf previous to some month in 2001. A typical case would be Joe Smith who entered illeagally to the U.S. in June 1996 and had a relative apply for him in 2000. Now, Joe is married to a USC and he can now adjust without leaving the country under 245i.

Just a FYI--The I-693A, the supplement, no longer exists. It was incorporated into a newly revised Form I-693.
