Hi,

I will be sending my naturalization application on Monday  . It feels so good to be at this part of the process - the N-400. For everyone who is currently in this process and who will soon be, I am sure you feel the same.

It really seems like not to long ago me and my husband were getting married in Colombia. Now we have been living and raising a family in the United States for the past 4 years. Time goes by so fast. Even though I am just now mailing this on Monday, it will still take a few months before I am actually a citizen, but it seems so close at this point. Me and my husband have filled out these applications and put together all the evidence each time. Which takes a lot of work as I am sure you know. The immigration rates also changed in the middle of this process for us.

I want to mention how glad I am there is a site like visajourney on the web. It makes it great to read other peoples stories about their journey. It really is a great journey, that many people don't know about. I was looking for my husbands first post in 2005 but I believe it was deleted. I don't remember what question he had when he stumbled upon visajourney 4 years ago, but I am sure it had something to do with a question on the initial application. One of my favorite things about VJ is that when you have a question it can usually be answered accurately in less than 5 minutes. There is always someone reading who has been there done that, and I love that about VJ. Thank you to everyone for being apart of this community.

Thanks VJ!!!

I wonder if anyone has ever framed their timeline for their home or office? Or something that shows their journey.

Not the timeline, but I have all immigration documents in the folder.

I have all the originals and copies from B2/B1 to H1B to V1 to I-130 IR-1 to naturalization for last 13 years.
