Hey all!

so we have sent back packet 3 over a month ago and still have not recieved an interview date..... is this normal?

My fiance is going to call the operated assisted visa information tomorrow? our question is... is calling the embassy a waste of time? Will they give him the interview date and or schedule one with him while hes on the phone? has anyone ever done this?

thanks

I would call them just to check to make sure they received the packet.

How did you send it back? signature required? Did it actually get back to them?

You don't want to sit on this to long, as they can considered it abandoned if they don't hear from you!

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

can take a while after London receive it before they put it on the system. Then about 2 weeks from being on the system to sending out an interview date.

Best ringing DoS (cheaper than the embassy helpline) as they can tell you if you are on the system as eligible for an interview and if there is an interview date on the system. London don't let you book K1 interviews via the very expensive visa helpline.

DOS = Department of State

As StinkyMonkeys post - DOS number is 202 663 1225, option 1 then 0

Far friendlier at DOS!

Def worth chasing to make sure they have pkt3 and it is complete.

London are slow at the moment getting pkt4's out and they have had the bad weather recently where they shut for a few days.
