Ok, I am new at this. But I met someone who I am seriously in love with from Jamaica. She would like to come visit me in California on a Visitors Visa. What needs to be done to make this happen and what turnaround time are we looking at?

Since you are not talking about adjustment of status, I will move this to the regional forum.

Note: applying for and using a visitors visa with the INTENT to immigrate is considered to be visa fraud. Visitor's visa is for visiting.

Welcome to the forum - Getting a visitor's visa to the US is not an easy task - She has to prove substantial ties to the country (owning a house, kids staying there, a letter from her job to return to, money in the bank,.....) Even having all that, it'####### or miss - Several yardies here have had family members recently go and apply, I am sure they will be along to give you better advice.
