2 MONTHS.. STILL NO SS CARD

Timeline

MY K-1 WIFE SUBMITTED 2 MONTHS AGO FOR HER SS CARD. I CALLED YESTERDAY TO CHECK. SHE SOUNDED CONFUSED, LIKE SHE HAS NEVER HAD TO DO THIS BEFORE.ANYWAY SHE SAID RECORDS ARE VERIFIED BUT THE COMPUTER WONT EXCEPT HER BECAUSE HER AOS IS PENDING. HER INTERVIEW IS NEXT MONTH. SHE THOUGHT MAYBE AFTER SHE GETS HER AOS APPROVED SHE CAN GET SS CARD. I AM REALLY WACKED ON THIS ONE...ANY HELP OUT THERE...THANKS .

P.S. FOR WHAT ITS WORTH ,SHE ARRIVED FROM CHINA NOV 05 WE WERE MARRIED JAN 06.

You submitted the SSN application after the I-94 expired. If you wanted to get a SSN based on the K1 you should have done so right away. Now you must either apply for an EAD or wait for the AOS to be complete.

02/03/2006 AOS sent (Did not apply for EAD or AP)

02/09/2006 NOA

02/16/2006 Case status Online

05/01/2006 Biometrics Appt.

07/12/2006 AOS Interview APPROVED

07/24/2006 GC arrived

05/02/2007 Driver's License - Passed Road Test!

05/27/2008 Lifting of Conditions sent (TSC > VSC)

06/03/2008 Check Cleared

07/08/2008 INFOPASS (I-551 stamp)

07/08/2008 Driver's License renewed

04/20/2009 Lifting of Conditions approved

04/28/2009 Card received in the mail

I wouldn't bother applying for an EAD. The interview is next month, but it takes 3 months to get an EAD, so no point really.

2008-02-11 I-751 received in Texas

2008-02-25 Check finally cashed!!

2008-03-19 Biometrics completed in West Palm Beach

2008-12-23 Rcvd notification of GC production

2008-12-30 Rcvd notification of confirmation letter going in the mail.
