forgot to add, my interview is tomorrow and somehow we missed this! Will it affect us getting the visa do you think?

I doubt it. The first thing they look at is income; if that's okay, then they won't care to look at anything else. (That's how it seemed to me when I went for my interview)

@ lesleysizeland: Deep breaths, try not to panic. You need to make sure to get some rest tonight-the interview and stress involved can be pretty exhausting. All the best with your interview, I'm sure you're going to be fine. I know finding you're missing something is a real stress, but the embassy are typically only interested in determining the quickest and easiest means of proving you wont' become a public burden. I'm sure that they consider income to be far better for that than life insurance.

Congrats! Hopefully it wasn't as bad as we all think it's going to be. I spend so much time thinking about it...it's not healthy! Did he go with you? I was wondering what they asked if he was with you.

Congratulations! I had a feeling you'd be okay, though I know there's always that element of doubt and uncertainty and second guessing that makes us all worry about the outcome.

Hopefully it wasn't as bad as we all think it's going to be. I spend so much time thinking about it...it's not healthy!

By the time my interview day arrived, the mere thought of it sent me into a breathless sort of terror. I tried very hard not to think about it-after a certain point, you've done as much as you can, there's no time to do any more, and to think on it too much more is not healthy. But it's natural. This is important to all of us - the most important thing I've ever done in my life, certainly - it's natural to worry.

That's just it..it's SO important that you can't help but feel some stress about it. If I didn't have children I wouldn't be in such a panic because there's always the option of moving there but because of my children that would be the worst case scenario! I wish they would just log my bloody packet 3 already and set up the interview date. I have a month or so before I probably get anything so I'm going to have to find my zen and all that :)

Congrats! Hopefully it wasn't as bad as we all think it's going to be. I spend so much time thinking about it...it's not healthy! Did he go with you? I was wondering what they asked if he was with you.

hey, I have been stressing about the interview for months, What would they ask me, how would I reply, what if my mind went blank etc etc!

Patrick couldn't come with me, he came over at Christmas and he is in the USAF so is training to go into a new role so was unable to get time off. Anyway, I probably sat there for about two hours before I got called to give my evidence. Handed over I-134 and supporting docs, pics, passport, police checks, intent to marry etc then sat back down (i had more evidence than anyone there, I had taken copies of everything we had sent to the embassy starting with our I-129f, I was actually quite embarrassed by the size of my folder!)

Anyway it work cause 30 mins after handing over all my evidence I got called to my interview. Had to raise my right hand, swear everything was true and then he asked me when did Patrick and I get engaged and when did we meet and then told me he had reviewed my case and I had been approved!!!! Other than that he talked about how good my memory was with dates :-)

I don't personally think it makes any difference whether your fiancé comes or not. The embassy are interested in you at this point and ensuring your not a burden kn the country! More than anything your fiancé is there for support to you. Good luck though when you do get your visa interview, it us definately no-where near as bad as we all think it is!

Oh I've called already! I'm sure they think I'm on drugs. I keep telling myself you aren't calling again till friday...get a grip but yeah about 2 in the afternoon I think dammit! I can't wait! I'm hoping that I can make it 2 more days. I just want to know it's logged and that we are eligable at that point for an interview. Let me know if you find anything out. It would be good to know someone else with basically the same timeline is moving forward!

Mine was ok, I was number I871, seemed to take ages to get to me lol. I had the old man with grey hair @ box 16, he asked me how I met Mel, how long have we been engaged and where we plan on living when I get there, thats it. The whole 2nd interview took about 8 mins. So, when do you plan on flying out?

When they gave me my ticket number, I thought there'd been a mistake. I didn't think the K1 visa was classified as an immigrant visa (even though it allows you to stay in the US) because it's still necessary to go through AoS once married. I kinda worried a bit when I saw my number began with an I, but I guess I was somehow misinformed at some point in the past about this issue, because the embassy staff were happy to reassure me everything was good.

Well my finance phoned DOS today, they have it in their system as they were able to pull it all up, but no interview date yet. Good to know they've actually got all the stuff needed though. Your's must be very close now!
