you NEED to sometimes talk to more than ONE Civil Surgeon!

So my husband tested posive on his TST ( Tuberculosis Skin Test ) and got a normal chest x-Ray.

Made an appointment to see a Civil Surgeon in MA ( Dr. Alexandro Alexeyenko ) and made us pay BEFORE she ( not even the REAL doctor )

saw us ( mind you 2 hours later than the appointment time we made ) and she didn't even look at the Chest X-ray report and she told us we need to get a letter from a TB Dr. or a Pulmonologist to give us "clearance". I asked her where to go and she said "I don't know, its your responsability to find that out, not mine - I will not sign the papers until you get that" and showed us the door!!! I was fuming!!!

I called several places ( and the TB Clinic here in NH where I live ) and they all basically told me that if my husband had a clear chest xray, he should be fine... so I made another appointment with a CS in Portland Maine to get a second opinion ( in NH there are only 2 CS and were all busy until May! ). We go there, he looked at all the documentation and he said that we are the first couple in 10 years or so that brought in all the required documentation! He looked at the Xray report and said "Looks great!" - waited 15 mins, gave us the sealed enveloppe with copies of the enclosed documentation for our records. $180 later, we got the darn I-693 taken care of...

now i will report this Civil Surgeon and do a chargeback on my credit card!!! So unpleasant and not helpful at all. I feel that all they wanted was my money without helping me.

Dont stop at one CS - call several!

There are a lot of bad ones out there from what I read. I always have recommended calling around to several, the pricing can very by hundreds.
