AOS ---Form 1099????

i checked all my tax returns but there is no form 1099. who needs that form?? is everybody required to submit that form?? where do i get it??

1099's are for (primarily) those who worked as a private contractor (consultant, etc) - there are of course other purposes - used to report income from another person/company. If you had a 'regular' job - you wouldn't get an 1099. (Most folks get W2's.)

1099's are for people receiving SS or interest from IRA's, savings and checking accounts they look like a w-2 form in most cases but at the bottom left corner it will say 1099 or 1099R Ect. The 1099 received from ss will be a full sheet and say 1099 at the top. The IRS website has examples of all possible 1099's issued. check them out there. but the ones I listed are the most common.
