Hello to all ;)

I'm new to this website but I need some insight from your guys' past experiences. My case is quiet different from what I have read around the forums but here it goes:

Ok, so background info..I came to the USA, California, in 1991 when i was 5 years old without inspection, aka illegaly.

In 2001 my dad was sponsored by his job under the law 245i, which allows the applicant to stay and petition from the US instead of leaving the country. My dad petioned for me too but since it took so long I was already over the age of 21( student) and was not included in their packet.

Anyway, it took a long time but my parents finally received their work permit last year..2008 and have their interview tomorrow for their GC.

BY THE WAY ...I GOT GRANDFATHERED BY MY DAD's LAW AND I DON'T HAVE TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY.

Ok, so I got married on April 12th, 2008 :) to a USC and moved to Arizona..my husband used to live in CA

but he moved to Surprise AZ, so I had to follow ;)

I filed end of August ...August 28th, 2008

They received the packet Sept 28, 2008.

In October I received a letter for Request of initial evidence (needed a joint sponsor, my husband didn't file taxes 2007 due to low income)

Biometrics October 21st, 2008 (my bday!! :P )

It took me a while to find a sponsor and come to CA to get everything re-filed ( I filed in CA cause we were suppose to move back but because of his school we couldn't till next year)

Submitted RFE packet Dec 23, 2008

They received the packet January 2, 2009

So here lies the problem...I received an email that they resumed my case on Jan 7th, they said they would contact me within 60 days with a response. Well today my mom went to the lawyer and the lawyer gave her a letter she received which was for the interview for me, I haven't received the letter I guess it's stuck in the mail.

So I have my interview scheduled for MONDAY, MARCH 9th, 2009 at 1:40pm in Phoenix...but i have not received my work permit thus i don't have a SSN..

We have a wedding book, invitation, lots of pics from younger..(we met in highschool, then started going out in college), recent..with friends..family..

We have a walmart card, costco card, two bank accounts, some bills, and a couple of credit cards, he added me when he bought his car...we live in his mom's house so we dont have a lease..and I have my cellphone under my mom's name because its always been like that..and it's an iphone (at&t) he has T-mobile and I dont feel like switching companies or number...

MY QUESTION I GUESS IS: :P

is it normal to have not received the work permit yet? or will it come soon...is this enough evidence or do we need more...have any of you had your interview in phoenix?

I apologize for it being too long but I just have soo many questions as this case is not as common like petitioning with a visa, etc.

I'm really nervous idk why but i guess it has to do with the prospect of legalizing my status after almost 18 years of being in this country, not knowing my grandparents or family in mexico..or mexico for that matter.

I digress ..so please anyone any advice..ANY is HELPFUL.

Again ..my apologizes for the length...thanks a bunch in advance.

Good luck. Everything will be fine. Don't worry.

MY suggestion is

Go to uscis.gov INFOPASS schedule for appointment to clear about your case
