Hi guys! I have a question regarding the medical exam I-693 that I'll be taking tomorrow. I basically wanted to know if there's such a thing as a drug test and if it's blood, urine or hair. I read on other posts that they actually do a drug test for the those who apply for a K-1 or K-3 in their countries, but it seems like AOS filers don't have to go through that.

Thanks again for your help!!!!!!!!

There is a section in the I-693 for Drug Abuse/Drug addiction, Section 4.

I have not heard of anyone actually having a test - they didn't give me one, plus they didn't ask me about it. I'm not sure under what circumstances this gets asked for.

I heard of a drug test when an applicant showed up for a K1 interview and appeared stoned. (He had smoked marijuana the evening before.) They sent him straight over to the Panel Physician for a drug test and his visa was delayed pending results of the drug test. Drug testing is not a routine part of the medical, but I suppose can be requested by officials if they have reason to suspect drug use.
