Within a topic I posted recently, people were suggesting it possible to purchase a refundable / ammendable plane ticket for about £50 more than a regular UK to US ticket. Where? When I check this option on the websites, the prices atleast double.

Any info greatly (I mean GREATLY) appreciated.

Jason.

Hmm I wouldn't know where that is. i've NEVER found an airline that charges that little for a refundable ticket. They always up the price HEAPS!

Good luck.

To me it's worth buying the non refundable ticket...and paying the 50-75 or even 100 bucks to change it. It's worth saving the money IMHO

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Ditto on both points Karo. If you are lucky they might not even charge you the change fee.

IMO/E Karo is right....

It's often best to get a better price and pay the change fee ( $75.00 last time I did it with BA).

If you must have a refundable, changeable ticket-book direct through the airlines, as those types of tickets are hard to find on " discount" sites such as Expedia or Travelocity.

edit-it "double posted"--sorry

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

Hi all.

How have you guys managed to change your non-changeable tickets for so little? I managed a change of some 24 hours due to a missed flight for $150 with BA when I turned up at the airport a day late with a sob story, but United want to charge me £440 (notice $s for 1st and £s for 2nd) to change my return date ahead of time. I want to change this by 8 weeks or so!

Any hints or tips?
