Documentary proof

Hi, so I have been reading the VJ guide and would like a little clarification please!

Once the NOA2 is received, it says the USC should send 'all originals of the documentary proof' to the beneficiary. So does that mean his original birth cert, passport etc, not copies? I already have a copy of the I-129F.

Also, for the financial documents, will a copy of his mortgage or house appraisal be good, a letter from his bank, a letter from his employer, this years and last years tax returns, his 401K stuff, 3 pay stubs, shares. Must these documents be originals or are capoies acceptable? Should he send anything else?? Thanks

His birth certificate is in the file and I've never known London to ask to see original USC birth certificate. No don't send a passport. The copy of the I-129 isn't part of the interview process, it's just so you could have it for reference. You don't have to show it to officials. They have your file.

All of the financials your mentioned are good. Photocopies are fine except it might be good to have the original pay slips and letter from employer handy to show if asked. You could turn in a photocopy, but have the original if they questioned the authenticity of the copy. All that financial will be needed for AOS, so don't give away the only copy. If his income from tax return, and payslips is good, then that's probably enough without doing the assets like the house appraisal. Their P3 letter said "bring two of the following..." and provided a list of which you have a bunch more. Personally in London, we had pages of stocks, shares, assets, bank statements, etc and all they picked out of the folder to put in the file was the tax return and a letter because that was adequate to prove income.

Good luck.
