We were up at 5 am today, and out the door by 6, on our way to Phattarada's K1 interview. We got to the gate, and I was sent away by the girl working there.

I was just finishing my first cup of coffee at 7:30 when my fiance called me, the interviews for today were cancelled because the interviewer was sick. She is rescheduled for tomorrow at 1pm. My condolences to anyone else who got cancelled today. Looks like the embassy found a way to stick me with another sleepless night.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!

I bet it was the same one who sent me away. As long as you have all of your docs and a reasonable amount of evidence, you'll be fine. I won't act like I didn't have many sleepless nights before the interview, because I did, but looking back I was worried over nothing. I must have paced around that financial building across the street (the one w/ the coffee shops) a million times while I was waiting.

Good luck!

Tea passed her interview today. :content:

She met Rinda of Chris and Rinda there, who also passed. She had a short interview with a young American who spoke Thai. She told me that everyone in her group of 5 passed, although I have a feeling that since they collected all of the documents yesterday, they had already weeded out those that were going to get a 221g or denial.

I had big concerns about my income, as I'm self employed. I was lucky to be able to get a contract printed from one of my clients last night, but the interviewer didn't even want to look at them.

I did take Ning and Thaihome's advice and wrote a one page letter discussing my job and how I was going to take care of my fiance in the U.S. Tea told me that she read the letter, and copied much of it into her computer.

Thanks for the advice from everyone here.

Kang Lang,

Long time no talk!

I haven't been on visa journey, specifically the sawasdee thread, for a LONG, LONG time. Weird, considering I'd go on here billions of times throughout the day posting on the sawasdee thread.

Kang Lang, how is your guys A.O.S. going? I remember you were updating me on your situation but that was awhile back when I last heard how everything was going for you guys.

Hope all is well.

Finally it's interview day for Su. She said that there where about a hundred people waiting, and all the documents we had were starting to get heavy. But in a few hours it will have all been worth it. I wished her luck and she told me she'd call back as soon as she was finished. Then she followed the crowd into the embassy. I wish I could have been there with her. Good Luck!
