my thoughts to you is that any signs of symptoms at st lukes med exam will cause you delays in getting to the interview stage..just make sure everything is clear with your health..if you have a bad x-ray(scars or anything unusual on your lungs) but are cured they dont care, you will still need to go thru thier tests which could cause major headaches....trust me, ive been thru this...just make sure your 100% healthy...get checked up before going maybe to diff. doctors to be sure.....GL

it is useless and a waste of money to have sputum tests done in another hospital, st lukes will not honor results from any other hospital.

i am assuming you have a history of tb thats why you want to get your own sputum test?

i only know of 1 person who did it and the only reason she got through without having to fo a sputum test at st lukes is because her xrays dont show any scarring eventhough she has a history of tb. it was caught and treated very very early on its onset

i wasnt so lucky, it was caught early but not early enough, my left lung cleared up during the treatment but the right one had the scar
