Go to this web page for info on social security ... http://www.ssa.gov/ssnumber/

My wife and her daughter received approval for their green cards over the weekend. For anyone in the K-1 process, we had no problems nor issues by following the guides here. Reading everyone's posts were a great help in understanding what to expect and what was needed. I hope everyone has the same success.

xelance,

In Colombia all birth and baptismal certificates have marginal notes that say whether the person has ever gotten married or not. If they have never been married, the marginal note will say so. The translation will be:

With no marriage marginal notes to this date.

that is strange....they definitely were married at the time my wife was baptized and there are no notes. Im just a little worried because the Bogota embassy specifically says Baptismal certificate with marginal notes, and of course there aren't any on my wifes certificate. They wouldn't make a big deal out of that right, if it specifically says there are no notes? Nothing we can do at this point...interview is only 3 days away, just a little worried about it. Also, on her birth certificate, there arent any marginal notes either.

If there are not marginal notes on either one, it means there are no marginal notes, meaning she's never been married. Putting a marginal note saying there are no marginal notes is pretty redundant but some churches and notaries still do it. :star:

yeah, I just find it strange..because my wife has been married, obviously to me lol. Also, my mother-in-law was married at the time of her baptism, and at the time of her birth. Oh well, it will all work out ok :) My poor wife had to get 4 vaccines today (MMR, tdap, varicella, and influenza)...ugh...I couldnt imagine getting all that in one day.
