Hello Colombia Club! I have a question for the medical does my boyfriend have to get vaccines done? Or is that just for girls? Maybe I am just confused thanks for all your help!

do you know where i can find that? that he can those done in medellin or does it have to be at a specific doctor in bogota?

Our son went to the red cross cause he could not find his records the list is here on page 7

Or seeing you are a K-1 not really sure but better to get them than not cause he will need to show the proof here in the US also

I have a question..albeit probably stupid question haha about this: "Effective December 3, 2007, all petitioners filing stand-alone Form I-130 are encouraged to submit their petitions to the Chicago Lockbox instead of a USCIS Service Center. I-130 petitions filed with the Chicago Lockbox will be routed to, and adjudicated at, the appropriate USCIS Service Center. This routing will be based on the petitioner’s place of residence in the United States. You will receive a notice in the mail indicating what Service Center your petition was routed to. "

So since I am filing the I-130 with the G325A and other documents, this would not be considered a stand-alone petition and I should send it to the appropriate service center (California in my case), correct?? I just want to make sure I am sending it to the right place

Apeters Yes on the lock box the I-130 and all related doics need to go to the Chicago lock box.

PS Club peeps we have just been asked for a Birth Certificate for hubby's son born out of wedlock that lists the grandparents name. ####### as far as I know the folio in colombia dos not have this. We are sending another BC, plus Baptisimal Certificate and a letter from the notary where he ewas born, hope it works

Your fiancé can get the vaccines anywhere he wants a couple of weeks before his medical because both doctors in Bogotá are known for not accepting vaccines that were taken weeks before the medical. It doesn't always happen but it happens, and quite often so people end up getting more vaccines at their medical because the doctor refused to accept the ones they got months or even weeks earlier.

Now, as for vaccines, the only ones he needs for his visa are MMR, TD and varicella. He doesn't have to get them in Bogotá if he finds that places like the Red Cross charge less than what the doctors may charge in their offices.

like always thanks so much Diana, another question for packet 4 which from do i have to fill out DS-156 or the DS-160? my lawyer told me she was going to ask them because she wasn't sure.

Do I need to get my wife's birth certificate translated into English for the NVC stage or is it ok to send it in Spanish without the translation?

We sent them ( BC's ) with translation just in case even though it says if not in the orgin country's language or English to translate. Better safe than sorry we thought

yeah, I agree on the birth certificate...I will go ahead and get it translated I believe the embassy email is IVBogota@state.gov
