I must admit this forum has been a little quiet ever since Kris and Whaeed got their visa situation resolved. I hope everyone's visa process coming along well. My fiance' got her K1 interivew next Monday July 27th. I hope it goes all well.

someone on the boards said that ISL only conducts interviews the first 2 weeks of every month, I guess not... thanks for letting us know, helps a lot! and don't forget to share the interview experience :)

Interview scheduling is done via NVC now and they schedule the first two weeks of the month. The actual interviews are being done the whole month.

He was given a 221(G)

Hello MARM!

What is 221(g)?

The 221(g) is a section of the US Immigration and Nationality Act, which is used when the embassy or consulate are unable to take immediate action on a visa case. In rare cases, when additional processing is required, the suspense category used in that case is 221(g) while the additional processing takes place. For example, sometimes the applicant has failed to bring in the correct documentation, has incomplete information or in some cases the embassy wants a co sponsor before they will issue the visa or health reasons are all reasons a 221(g) is issued. In the Middle East/African/ Asian countries these applicants are scrutinized and screened more intensely and thus they have to wait out longer security or fraud investigations until all verifications for security or suspected fraud come back cleared.

It simply means that they are doing some checks and case pending mean that its in AP.

So let them do their checks and be paptient.

Here the ppl are waiting since years, months.I was interviewed on Nov 10 2008, still in AP.

Lets pray for anyone who are in this dark whole.

InshaAllah he will get his visa soon.

Dear Sibtain,

I am here daily on here and on FBI as well. I see that you are copy and pasting my information all over the forums. I do not mind you using it but at least tell where you are getting it. Insert a link/hyper-link or say that this information comes from MaryandMian or Mary_mj4mj. I am reading my own posts and saying what? At least give the author their due!

Hello Sister,

We are doing well and just staying busy. As you know hubby became a United States Citizen last month so we had to run around and change his status with the Driver's license office and social security. We got his passport and he is making plans to go back home after such a long time for a visit. I am getting the kids ready for school to restart and JP will be having surgery again so this is keeping me busy.

Nice to hear from you and am glad that you finally got married and now off to the fun stuff of AOS once again. :P Good luck and hoping that this part is easy and quick for you!

Take care and keep us updated on the processing.

Mary

I was just wondering, if Islamabad Consulate has the facility to check interview dates online. I checked couple of embassies and consulates and they do appear to have information available online. Here are few examples of the dates for Delhi and Mumbai.

http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/visa_interview_dates.html

http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/interview_appt_schedule.html

My wife's case was completed on July 10th but they have not scheduled her yet. They say No dates are available for August, but are not ready to give any date for September as well :-(

Islamabad does not have a place to check for interview dates or AR/AP status like other embassies/consulates have. Also, you should have your interview within one or two months. Just be thankful you are processing now and not when I did back in 2005 where you had a 6 month wait on an interview.

Rehan,

I have not heard of anyone emailing the embassy for a confirmation. All applicants usually just show up with their evidence and interview letter and proceed with their processing.

I was not complaining but trying to express that others are really pushing wanting an interview the next month. Guess my time is over on here now. Good luck to all of you.
