to VJ members,

me and my wife had an interview for her greencard yesterday. the agent want me to provide a k-1 approve document but i don't have it, the medical examination card doctor didn't even mark some of the blanks. not to mention we did the medical examination both places in japan and here in the US. the only thing i provide was the medical insurance and car insurance. anyway, my question is did we rail the interview because the agent didn't give us anything???

thanks,

Sounds like they want the NOA1 or NOA2. A copy can be obtained from USCIS, at a cost.

Did the USCIS agent give you a list of items to provide? You probably didn't fail yet, but need to get your documents in order.

the agent didn't give us anything or to tell us what to do right after the interview. all i got is a piece of paper, a paper on how to submit the i-174form.

If you need a new copy of your I-129F approval notice, you need to file a form I-824 with the service center who processed the original petition. It costs $340 :( We had to do this too when we mislaid ours  . Don't worry about the published processing time for this form being six months, we got our new approval notice through within a few weeks...

What's the form I-174 that you mentioned?

[edit to add] Include a copy of the original I-129F paperwork with your I-824, if you have it.
