I have been here in the US for more than a year. I did not file for AOS, but only EAD. I have been working for 8 mos. now.

I am just about to complete my documents for AOS, and hopefully, will submit it next week. My problem is -- my EAD will expire in mid September 2009, so basically I will be out of status, and I could lose my job, if I will not have my GC by that time.

Will a pending AOS application suffice as a work permit? What do I need to do in order to prevent being out of status (aside from fiing it earlier)?

Has anybody here experience having an infopass to get an extension of EAD, while AOS is in progress? Plesae share your ideas (and facts). If you have the lnik about this, it is much appreciated.

Remember not to pay for it. It is included with your AOS, which will be pending, even if you send your EAD renewal application later.
