Applied for AOS, We are still waiting for Receipt Notice

By Azam in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

We have mailed to AOS package with to Chicago 12.22.08. Check was cashed 12.26.08. We have not received any documents or letters. I called USCIS; they have mailed a letter 12.30.08. I have not received any letter. My neighborhood is very safe; it cannot be the post office. USCIS is not going to send any duplication and they are telling me to wait 6 to 8 months. Please help and let me know what to do.

Maybe you should try contacting your local post office.

Not sure that the post office is going to be able to do much.....

Maybe you should try contacting your local post office.

I think it took almost a month for claudeth to receiver her receipt NOA. I don't remember, is the receipt NOA for AOS important? I know the one for lifting conditions is.

I didn't receive my NOA1 too and it had me worried at that time because I only have the return receipt by the Post Office.I was planning to make an inquiry but I received the Appointment Letter for Biometrics soon after and both the EAD and AOS cases were both pending in my USCIS account when I added the assigned case numbers on the appointment letter so I just didn't worry about my NOA1s anymore.I'm wondering though if NOA1 will be needed in Removing Conditions. I hope you will receive your NOA1s soon or you can make an Infopass appointment.
