after reviewing this site it appears that a NOA has to do with a K1 visa. am i correct? what exactly is it and after submitting the require package for a K1 when should i recieve it? i have no idea what is going on with my submission. how can i find out any information if i have no information from the government?

NOA means Notice of Action. in the K-1 process you will be getting 2 of these.

1st NOA is recived during the initial filing, after you send your petition and the Service center cash your check, they will send you an NOA to let you know that they got your petition and will further process.

2nd NOA is recived probably about 4-6 months after initial filing. NOA2 is the approval notice, this letter will tell you that they approved your petition and will forward your petition to the National VISA Center for further processing...
