hi everyone.

Just waiting for the card in my mailbox (hope it gets here, and not in someone else's mailbox).

I have a question:

I've been permanent resident (conditional) since May 2006. How soon can I apply for citizenship?

I think I could file for citizenship about end of May 2009, I'm not sure, though. Am I correct?

Filed: AOS (apr) Country: Philippines
Timeline

you can apply anytime beginning 90 days prior to the latest qualifying date:

3 years marriage, Spouse's three years anniversary as a USC, 3 years greencard

for most people it is the greencard that is the latest date

If you have been a permanent resident for three years, yes you can apply for citizenship. I actually applied for citizenship three months before my three years anniversary as a permanent. I'm still waiting on my interview date.
