I had one.. and I have IBS... the combination was horrible.. the stuff they make you take (the little pop that tastes sweet but gives you the toots).. UNBEARABLE!!! When it was time for the procedure my mother was in a waiting room 2 double hospital doors down from where the procedure was happening and she could hear me blood curdling scream from there..

They never finished the procedure.. they took a quick look see and let me be..

It honestly was one of the most traumatic things ever to happen to me..

But I think that had a lot to do with IBS and my bowel going into spasms..

That is why I requested to go in with my son, was blessed with Crohn's desease, doc was concerned I would pass out, I am okay, just wanted to see with my own eyes what was wrong with him. He was also screaming, but couldn't remember anything afterwards, don't feel your doctor was very kind. Knowing gastro well with my son, was scheduled with such a doctor, changed that instantly. Wouldn't mind shoving up a ten foot pole up his hole so he knows what it feels like.

I have had two colonoscopies and was asleep for both. For that damn sigmoid thingy I was awake. He said you might feel some pressure! Pressure my butt, it hurt like hell.
