Our situation: Currently in Denmark. Applied for residency here, just waiting for approval. However, we want to return to the states when possible so we have decided to go ahead and file the I-130 now and get the process started. Note: We cannot file DCF because of the 6 month residency rule.

Question 1: Is it ok to list the USC address as the address here in Denmark?

Question 2: Will they mail required paperwork overseas?

Does the USC have residency in Denmark? If so then DCF might be the best way to go. It tends to be quicker and you can deal directly with the US Embassy in Denmark instead of dealing with USCIS in the US.

No, we applied for residency and are still waiting, but even once I get my residency, I can't file here for 6 months, so filing DCF could potentially mean about 10 months to get the visa, and the earliest I could file would be 6-8 months from now. I can't wait that long to return to the US, so I need to file now, but I won' back in the US until May-June. What do they send by paper mail that I need to be concerned with? How will they know which servicing center to use if my addres is Denmark?
