:D hello, I am Canada IR-1 visa case. I just called NVC. The answer machine told me that the files was send to Montreal on June 6. It is weekend so I couldn't talk to operator. So does that mean the interview date has been scheduled yet because I remember someone said in this forum the IR-1 interview date was scheduled by NVC (Is that right)? And probably when will it be? And when I can get the interview inform letter?

Thank you in advance and have a good weekend. (F)

:P thank you. I just got the interview date by call: July 25.

One more question: generally when will I get visa the following day? morning or afternoon? I need to book the back ticket. Thank you.

:D

 Woohoo! Congratulations, Grass! :star:

Yes, I think you have to come back the next day (after 3 PM?) to get the visa. Check the interview experiences of people in the regional forums-Canada.

Good luck with the interview! :)

Edit: I just checked my appointment letter and it says if you don't want to pick up your visa the next day, you can give them a prepaid Canada Post Xpresspost envelope (12" x 15") so they can mail you your passport. Let me know if you need more info on this as they write more stuff on their instructions.

thank you so much. One more question is about the interview documents preparation. I provided the police check on early Jan. So do you think I need to prepare a new police check for the interview? I didn't get interview inform letter yet.

It depends on how long the certificate is good for. But because it will be over than 6 months old, I think it's better to get a new one... just in case. Well, that's what I'd do.
