My NOA1 date is November 28. I have not received any letter for the biometrics appointment, just 2 touches on my ead. Can I make an infopass now (for temporary EAD) for just one day after the 90 days will expire? The 90 days will be up in a couple of weeks. Another question: what is the period you are give the temporary ead for?

thanks!

ana

Yes, book the infopass for 1 day after the 90 days.

I don't think that there is a hard and fast rule on this, judging by the experiences posted over the past few months. However, if you are approved but have no biometrics, they will probably have you fill out a new form and send you for the biometrics in order to get the real EAD. Check out my timeline.

If you haven't been approved after the 90 days, they may give you a temp EAD which is good for, I think, 120 or 160 days, can't remember, or they may even tell you that you're SOL and have to wait for the bio letter. If that happens, ask them how long you have to wait for that before you go back for another INFOPASS appointment.

Either way, try to get biometrics done while there.
