I hope they don't forget about us.

Don't worry.

Chances are the touch was due to them putting our files into someone's "inbox" - meaning that IO was starting to run low on files... we'll be looked at soon I'm sure...

I think you're right - so within the next few weeks! I wonder if we all went into the same person's box since we were all 'touched' at the same time?

It's up to you - I did it already - its worth getting in line for, and seems to be going quite quickly and smoothly now.

If you have the money to do it now (perhaps with a tax refund) and want to do it - you might as well apply as soon as you can so that it will come sooner... especially if things in the economy keep getting worse - having your US citizenship just opens up so many more potential options... and protections....

I completely agree I'm just worried that after i apply my I751 application may take longer.

If the I-751 is still pending at the time you are ready for interview, current USCIS procedure is to move your I-751 file to your local office so that the IO can make a decision on your I-751 and N-400 in the same interview.

So worst case scenario is your I-751 gets approved at the same interview as your N-400.

So it slows nothing down in the grand scheme of things - assuming you were going to go for citizenship anyway...

interesting that means that I will apply on the 20th because I have nothing to loose and probably a lot to win

That was my thought... everyone's situation is different though.
