Your Permanent Resident card is already your green card. Who would you believe more? US Immigration or your brother? As long as you don't overstay, it should be no problem. Are you a nurse BTW?

I will be travelling next week January 20, going back to the Phils. (CEBU) i will stay there for 19 days . Im using only my Permanent resident card, my card will expire 8/7/10 (green card) and my passport is not yet amended so i use my maiden name on my plane ticket. I hope i do not encounter problems going back here.

I was holding a conditional greencard before i became a citizen..

I always travel back and forth from US to Middle East and did not encounter any problem.. Just make sure that your travel will not last for more than a year.

My greencard expired on November 2008, but I did get an exemption and became a US citizen in 1 and half years.

Hi May,

I applied through Article 319b of Immigration Nationality Act (INA). We both work as civilian contractor overseas. I have posted different information regarding this article in VJ.
