USCIS = Idiots?

Hi all

Today, being 12th of January 2009, I receive a letter saying that I requested a receipt notice for my Biometrics Appointment letter.

So let's break it down from June 06 2008:

1. I send out my I-485 and I-765

2. I receive my biometrics appointment notice

3. I go to my biometrics appointment and everything is fine

4. I receive a RFE for the I-485 because the Sponsor did not include a I-864

5. August 12th, I send the RFE back out

6. November 12, 2008 - I make my first service request into where my I-765 is

7. December 01, 2008 - The USCIS notifies me they sent an email with information to my email address. I find out they sent it to the WRONG email address. They make a second service request because the email address was wrong.

8. December ??, 2008 - I call again and they inform me that I will have my Notice of Action by January 12th.

9. January 12, 2009 - I receive a letter stating that I requested a receipt notice for my Biometrics Appointment letter because I never received it. They make a third service request into seeing where my I-765 is.

About number 9, this is wrong because I received the letter last year and went to my appointment, when I did my service request I was TRYING to look into what is taking my I-765 so damn long!

So as of today, it has official been 7 months and 6 days since I sent out my I-765

If anyone has any information or advice about what I should do, keeping in mind I entered the USA on February 8th, I still can not work and I am getting real tired of every time I call the USCIS they tell me a different thing.

Make an INFOPASS appt so you can and talk with an officer in person. Forget the service requests, they are a big waste of time.

I tried, told me that there are no available appointments at this time.

Anyone else suffering the same kind of problems that I am, please speak up, It would give me some comfort to know I am not alone with this #######.

Hi there! Well it took me about 6 months and 4 infopasses to get mine. Turns out they (Some USCIS Idiot in LA LA Land) applied the wrong receipt number when they did my Biometrics and as it turns out i never had my "Biometrics" for the I-765 because they applied it to my I-131 instead.

I went in and checked 3 times before actually getting the information that I had to redo my Biometrics for my I-765. I would make an Infopass, when it asks you the reason just click "Speak to Immigration Officer" rather than "EAD" and a time should come up for you. Do not put in a service request for the EAD yet, specifically ask them if there are any holds on your I-765, ask them to check in the Biometrics had gone through if it shows there.

Please note though that everything including your I-765 will be on hold until they receive the information requested for your RFE.
