can anybody out there in Thai VJ land share info about timelins that once the embassy recieves P-3,

how long did ittake tot he interview? 6 weeks, 2 months, 4 weeks?

Our NOA2 was just approved on the 7th. I am in Thailand now visiting her till the 18th and want to prepare the P-3.

we are K-3'ers, by the way. I need some estimated timeline help with the emabssy in bangkok.

1- what, when, where can somebody point me to the tracking method of the papers leaving NVC to and arriving in BKK?

2- after filing the p-3, what is the time frame of sending the p-3 in to the interview date?

I ask these as I am trying to time sending the p-3 in to her getting an interview date about march 1.

any help and/or thoughts would be appreciated.

thanks

Looking at "immigration timelines", selecting Thailand, displaying 50 rows, it looks like typical 129F NOA2 to interview is about 40 to 55 days for K1's and K3's (longer for CR1/IR1). From P3 return to interview is averaging 2 to 4 weeks.

For DHL tracking of NVC to embassy:

When I checked mine, I knew when NVC received it, then assumed it went out in one of the next two packages to BKK (they only went once a week back then). Once I thought they received it (based on DHL package arrival), I e-mailed the embassy every other day until I got a response that the P3 had been mailed to Rin, then I sent them the P3 checklist, etc. Rin never received the P3, so I am glad I did not wait for it!

I was actually in India at the time I found out her interview schedule. It was late March and I was expecting late May (based on the same data table analysis above). I was on my way to Thailand after India and her interview was April 17th! I was supposed to leave Thailand on April 4th, but changed my schedule to stay in Asia for two more weeks. Saved a trip back in May!

Best of luck!

John

I think if you view other peoples time lines you can get a rough idea...... Once things are in Bangkok the time line s seem to be close for everyone if there are not any problems with the paperwork... hang in there, you are almost done !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
