Hey guys

My husband (usc) and I are in the process of filing for AOS from F1 visa and have hit a road block. We were married a few weeks ago but currently reside in different states. I am at the tail-end of my OPT and will join my husband in a few weeks.

Here’s our problem,….circumstances beyond both of our control permitted us from living together. As a result, we do not possess any of the required evidence to prove bonafide marriage. We do have tons of photos, chat logs and phone records dating back to 2007, airline tickets, cards.

Would the evidence I listed be satisfactory enough to go along with the 1-130 form??

Your input would be greatly appreciated.

You need notarized affidavits of support from family and friends, you still can add your name to several accounts even if you don't live together like Income tax filing jointly, savings accounts, insurance, work benefits etc. There is still time, the only thing pending is your quickness of action to accomplish all these.

Hi there,

I did not have much information back then too. For your reference, these are the things I have attached: 1) Joint American Express credit card information, 2) joint bank account and 3) 10 photos printed on 2 sheets of paper with description (travel pics and wedding pics) At that time we did not even have any joint name insurance or property. So I would say if you have opened any joint membership or bank account, just attached a copy of statement. GOOD LUCK!
