Vaccines needed for the I-693???

My husband needs to get a set of shots/vaccines tests for the I-693. He has his vaccines record

here with him but they are old and we wanted to make sure that he'll be ok for the Civil Surgeon

appointment we have scheduled at the end of the month.

I have scheduled him to go to the local clinic here to get his vaccines/shots done on this coming

tuesday. I called the civil surgeon to ask which shots he needs to get done prior we show up to

see him. They told me all he needs are:

HIV Test

Syphilis ( RPR ) test

MMR

Varicella

TB

Tetanus ( DDT? DTT? What is the name for the grouping? )

Flu vaccine

BUT then I read he needs Hepatitis A? Zoster? I AM SO CONFUSED!!! I want him to get what he needs and

to not get a RFE when we submit the AOS packet.

Please someone pitch in on what he might need. He's from Germany.

Timeline: I am the USC - my husband is the beneficiary

03-20-09:..........Received today INTERVIEW LETTER FOR: 04-21-09!!!! ( TOTAL DAYS FROM FILING TO INTERVIEW: 68 DAYS!!! )

for the medical i got

hiv and syphillis test...took my holy blood lol

then i got tetanus ,mmr and hepatitis B shots

i didnt need varicella because i had it when i was a kid

TB skin test

thats it..no flu vaccine required

i got all new because i lost my reccords:-(((

On the USCIS website, they added new vaccines to their list effective 7-24-08 :

Rotavirus

Hepatitis A

Meningococcal

Human papillomavirus

Zoster

I know rgw Pap is for girls, so that doesnt apply to him and the Zoster is for 50+ years of age.... What about Rota, Hep A and Menin? did you have to do these?

Ugh, I am so confused I don't know who to ask anymore!

The CS is right.

These are needed for an individual who is between 27 and 49:

Tetanus (i.e. Tdap, Td shots or booster in past 10 years req)

MMR

Varicella (oral confirmation of having contracted the disease previously is accepted, no vaccine req. in this case)

HIV, syphillis test and TB skin tests are now required.

Influenze vaccine is only required in "flu season." Whatever that means. I didn't need one two months ago when the virus was going around like it still is right now.

USCIS follows CSC guidlines for vaccinations. Refer to this website for more information: http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/PDF/wk/mm5753-Immunization.pdf

Depending on how and when your husband entered the US (i.e. on a k-1 visa), he may not need a full medical.

You would get a better answer if your timeline was more informative. :time:

mh i have only the shots i told you..and the surgeon said this were all wich are required...i got all on one day so i didnt need more lol

was sick for two days..but maybe guys get different shots then womans...

Hi all,

I'll also need clarification based on your experience about the vaccines and tests that will be asked for a 30 years old female. She's been in US with J1 so she's not had any medical exam and obviously she's not had her vaccine records as well. Before being get riped off by the CS we'd like to get tests and vaccines done at the community health clinic ahead of time. Your helps on that will be appreciated a lot.

By the way anyone who had medical exam in Atlanta, GA area, can be sharing their experience with us would be great.
