My wife is from Rostov-on-Don. We were married last week and now I am working on these AOS, EAD, and AP documents. We have most things together. Tried to change her name on her SS card today but found out that it is impossible to do right now. Had a run in with a man at the SS office that was so sure of himself but had ALL the wrong information. Told me that since my wife's K-1 is to expire on June 26 and that we are married now she needs to get K-3!!! I told him he was WRONG! He also told me because we are married we don't need advanced parole. I just shook my head and decided we didn't need to change the name on the card now and left. After that I called USCIS and got verification on a few points I was unsure of.

Hope this goes well for all of us.

Greg

Oh, by the way....saw the pictures of your wedding on your site. My wife noticed you were married at the end of April, but why is there a Christmas tree in the background???!!!!

Hey Nick!!!

Long time I dont see you around...

You dont need to make 3 checks, just 2 is fine: 1 for AOS + biometrics = $395 and another for EAD.

Good luck to you and Natasha!

Hi Carol and Mark!!!!!

As far as the Christmas tree in the picture, its my moms place and the tree is a indoor fake tree but not really for christmas, her house is decorated in country cowboy theme. Anyway she decorated it a little for the cake and coffee thing after the wedding.

LOL about the "Christmas tree"!

Have you seen and followed the thread in the Russia forum about name change on adjustment of status? Have you decided what you will do? My wife wants to change her name and that is our plan, but all the problems with passports and travel have me just a little worried. We will be calling the Russian embassy this week for some clarification about name change in passports, etc. From what I gather it may be possible to change the name in the international passport but impossible to change the name in the Russian internal passport without traveling to Russia, but I am still a little confused about the exact details and pitfalls. Hope to know more soon.
