My fiancee submitted the timeline and the list of relatives and got the pink slip. She'll pick up the visa next week. Thank you luckytxn and thank you all for your help.

Congrat!!!!! Can you tell us which language (English or Vietnamese) is used on all the forms in packet3 & packet4? If they are in English, how did your fiancée answer question 34 on DS230 (Were you assisted in completing this application?) My fiancée is waiting for the packet3 and I'm worried if those forms are in plain English although the instructions will be both in English & Vietnamese.

Thanks.

Peter

Yes I notarized mine and they asked for it to be notarized in the blue paper received. I just went to my bank and they notarized it for me for free as they always do when I need anything notarized. They will do this at any bank you have an account with. Make sure you do not sign or date this timeline until you are at the notary to witness you doing this as that is what the notary is witnessing. I was the one that did a timeline as it was a timeline for both of us anyway. While I did this her Uncle made a list of many relatives here in the states and their adresses and phone numbers and even included a copy of their drivers licenses as proof of who they were. This was not notarized as they did not ask this to be done. Afterwords when I had this I sent this to Trang in VN. Faxing this will just be a copy and one needs to show the original notary seal.

I knew they would want one eventually and was going to send one before but I saw that others were being asked to send an updated timeline sometimes after the interview. I also wanted to wait until after the interview and get with her and make sure my timeline agrees with whatever she said. I knew she was very nervous and may have forgotten dates. She did not and I was stunned that she had remembered exact dates so well and then did the timeline up. I had her tell me exactly what the interview questions were and her answers to the questions.
