I went to my senators office today to check on my denied K1 as his liaison is tracking it. She told me it expired but she said I can refile. She was just about to write a letter and insiste they give me a chance to rebutt the consular findings. I told her to let it go I will refile I dont want to take a chance and loose the rebuttle. She then told me she seen the other senators letter and it stated my fiancee came to the interview with an answer card. I was floored and told her that never happened. I emailed that senators liaison that wrote the incorrect info and he has not gotten back to me. I know this goes to the NVC and will be on record. Is there any way to get around this? The info that I and my fiancee sent him didn't say anything about an answer card so he must have gotten me mixed up with somebody else. I called him the other day and he thought my fiancee was from the Philipeens not Vietnam. I was thinking if he helped with an appeal letter when I refile that might help but I'm not sure. I'm I out of luck?

The way you described her ability {Lack of} to speak English it wouldn't surprise me if she did show up with a answer card!

Not sure what the issue is here? It's best to deal only with the senior Senator from your state, not both. I doubt this stuff with the senators will come up in the process of refiling.

Haole thanks

She didn't use an anwser card, from my understanding since it was not on the denial sheet I got from the Ho Chi Minh consulate it didn't happen. The thing I 'm worried about is if Dorrgans letter will be on file with the NVC. It was sent back with the petition, do they look at that when you refile for a new petition, or do they just look at the denial reasons from the consulate and your rebuttle letters?

I was told to get as many people behind you as you can. If you got one congressman good but if you got 2 or 3 even better. Its not a sure thing but it helps.

I'm on this website more than 5 hours a day my boss has already warned me but I get so much valuable info and hope by reading other people's storie's. I think if it wasn't for this website I would have lost it a long time ago.

Thanks I don't think it will come up in the interview either and if I go there with a new letter from my senator that doesnt say that I think it will help also.

I tend to worry and overact at things
