When my fiancee arrived in the States this Nov. for the holidays, they let her in on the VWP w/o any hassle, but they did point out that last time she left the States, the official forgot/failed to remove the green VWP slip from her passport.

I was working on contacting them and clearing this up... however, we just got approved (NOA2) and now I am thinking that if I bring it up now it may just put us more under the spotlight. Since she made it back into the country easily this time, I'm thinking about just not worrying over it.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. She leaves for NZ at the end of Jan to finish her end of the K1, and I dont want to make the wrong choice in this matter.

this is from the Irish embassy site but I'm sure its the same for new zealand

"Did you surrender your I-94/I-94W arrival/departure card on your Departure from the United States?

Recording Your Departure After The Fact

I-94/I-94W Instructions - Visit the CBP Website.

If you returned home with your Form I-94 (white) or Form I-94W (green) Departure Record in your passport, it is possible that your departure was not recorded properly.

If you departed by a commercial air or sea carrier (airlines or cruise ships), your departure from the U.S. can be independently verified, and it is not necessary to take any further action, although holding on to your outbound (from the U.S.) boarding pass - if you still have it - can help expedite your re-entry next time you come back to the United States."
