thanks all! Yes, it really was fast especially since USCIS processing time page said it takes average 5-6 months at our local office.

I think they always post longer times and that way people are pleasantly surprised when the whole process is faster than expected.

That's why I like this forum because it gives you a better idea what the ACTUAL processing times are and you can plan better ahead.

Congratulations again, incredible how fast you guys got done!:star:

lol... Stella, I don't know about your comment that the actual is short the published processing time. Because I have applied in December, so I am in the fourth month now and I still have not received interview letter, and my district office is showing 5 month for the processing time. :innocent:

I just hope you are right!...

My husband called USCIS today and talked to a Level 2 CSR. Husband asked why he hasn't received his interview letter yet. CSR told him that it is in the process of scheduling/setting a date for his interview and he will be notified through mail when there is already a date for his interview

It's like waiting for a visa number huh? <_< It's been 41 days since hubby's fingerprints appointment, 16 days since the Yellow letter arrived, and 67 days since we sent the application :crying:

How many days are we still gonna wait :clock:

This application is very important to us, so whoever thinks that we're in a rush, YES WE ARE  This is a matter for a child's future

I'll pray under the stars, the moon, the rain, the sky, and beside our mailbox tonight

Good luck to everybody

Well, still nothing from USCIS today :crying:

We called the 1-800 again told them that we received the Yellow Letter last March, and no Interview Letter yet. Level 1 CSR talked alot and didn't answered our questions. Then she transferred the line to the Level 2 CSR. Level 2 CSR answered our questions, our hope came up again. ARGH! Baltimore Service Center is soooo freaking slow!

We're now thinking that their employees are LAZY

Come on Interview Letter..Hope to see you on our mailbox tomorrow ^_^

The IO said they can not make a decision and will let me know. I went there 30 minutes early and sate with my hubby. The officer was a young girl and she had an assistant, a young man who was watching the process. The IO went through my papers, marriage photos from the old files, asked me about my name, date of birth, when I got married etc. She asked me about my new job which I got only last week. The question she asked was,

1) One of the amendment related to vote.

2) If the President is no longer in the position, who will be the next Presdent.

3) What reason coloniest came to America, I said "Freedom" but she was not satisfied and asked me what kind of freedom. I said the rest of the answers in the list.

4) The head of the executive branch. I don't remember the rest of the questions because she was talking about other matters at the same of asking the questions. She gave a paper to read and I wrote " We pay taxes."

She asked me to sign the photos which I submitted with my application. I showed her my new set photos and she said the new one look better. So, I signed the new photos, the paper for the oath and on the bottom of the N-400 application.

Finally she said she can not make a decision right now and will let you know. She gave the paper which said I passed the test of English. History and Civic.

I don't know what will happen, I don't know what will be their decision. I am freaking out!!!!!!!!

I had my interview today. It went very smoothly.

Got there an hour before my interview time. An officer took my civics and English tests immediately. And then asked me to wait in a room where many other people were also waiting. After about 1/2 an hour an officer came out and called my name. He basically went through my N-400 application line by line. I had not mentioned any traffic tickets in my application so I took the opportunity to let him know that I had one traffic ticket. He asked me if I had to go to court for that ticket. I said NO, I simply paid the ticket. He said then there was no need to mention it.

And that was it. He gave me a paper saying that he was recommending me for the approval and then said the his supervisor would have to verify the approval. He asked me to go back to the waiting area and that after final approval I would be given the oath letter.

So I waited and waited and waited. And finally they gave me the oath letter for the next month.

Thank you everyone. And good luck to all.
