Hello everybody! I'm not sure if this is the right place where to ask this. I was wondering something...my fiance will redeployed from Iraq soon and he asked me to be already there when this will happen...He would like for me to arrive like 1 week before him so I can open the house and warm it up a little...do u think it will be a problem? At the interview the consular asked me when my fiance will re-deployed and I told him the exact date so I think that at the POE they will know about it...And I'm worried that if they see me getting there earlier they will make me problems...anybody have experiences / advices about it? Every opinions is greatly appreciate!! Thanks and HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!

First, congratulations on your visa and your fiance coming home--both excellent pieces of news! Now to your question...

If you have the visa in hand, you can use it whenever you like (before it expires, of course)--I don't know how they would know whether or not your fiance is in the country. I would just make sure that you know how to work everything if you haven't spent much time at his house; I'm constantly surprised how different life is in the UK/Europe than the States! Hopefully he has family or friends around that can offer advice/support/help--that will definitely make your first days easier.

Good luck, and again--congratulations!

Thank you! Congratulation on your Visa as well!

I was just thinking that they may find the information on the brown envelope...I never understood what they put inside that secret thing lol...

By the way I'm lucky I've been there few times and I know his friends so that will be ok...just hope somebody will turn on the heather a couple of days before I arrive...it was -26° C a couple of weeks ago...

The POE won't know, nor will they be concerned about it.

The 'brown' envelope contains your I-129f package, medical and other information given so far (don't open it, you've seen everything inside it already).

Congrats on both making it to the US! You shouldn't have a problem at POE and if they do ask you have a valid reason for coming a few days ahead. If it does come up just make sure that you can convince them he will be home within 90 days so you can complete your marriage. And why is he having you come buy groceries? He should be buying you them! ;)

Haha!!! I guess that if he even bought some grociery before he deployed they are no longer good! =)

I hope the question won't come up but if it does I will just tell them the truth! I may ask him to give me his Company phone number so that in case they don't belive me they can even call his company! Thank you for all your support!!
