Record expected for U.S. population

By Mary Lou Pickel

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

The nation’s population is projected to reach 305,529,237 on New Year’s Day, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

That’s nearly a one percent increase from last New Year’s.

In January 2009, one birth is expected to occur every eight seconds and one death every 12 seconds.

Immigration is expected to add one person every 36 seconds in January.

Overall, between birth, death and people entering and leaving the country, the U.S. population is expected to increase by one person every 14 seconds in January, according to the census.

At that rate, it will probably take another 33 years before the country adds another 100 million people.

The U.S. is expected to reach the 400 million mark somewhere between 2038 and 2039, according to the latest Census Bureau population projections.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

That's what happens when illegal immigration goes unchecked.

Didn't you get the memo? They are entitled to the so called American Dream by hook or crook as atonement for the all evils perpetrated by America past, present, and future.

One immigrant per every 36 seconds translates to 876K for the coming year. 50K on the lottery, and according to the USCIS only 140K I-751 applications were processed this year, that leaves still another over 600K coming in, but how? Has to be I-130's, but can't find a count on those, none of my wife's relatives want to come here, does this give us extra spaces we can sell to someone? Oh, I also have a senate seat for sale if someone is interested. LOL.

These numbers just don't add up, do they? But the fact remains that the USA now has third world population rates.
