Hello to all,

I have received my husband's approved I-512L after he went on a trip to China, so I fedexed the authorizations to him. But the issue date on the authorization is Dec. 15, 2008, and my husband left the US on Dec. 6, 2008, which is about 2 weeks before the issue date. In this case, can he still use this authorization to enter the US?

Many thanks!

You never suppose to leave the USA without AP physically in hand.... A departure prior is an indication of abandonement....

YMMV

a warning in the I-131 instructions:

If you travel before the advance parole document is issued, your application will be deemed abandoned if:

A. You depart from the United States; or

I would not be so bold as to say YOU ARE OK...

YMMV

Thank you all!!!

Because right now US embassy in China is checking his H1B visa (they do it every 2 years), and this will take about 2 months; so he will stuck in China for the whole period. And now he can not use his AP to come back, is there any other ways for him to come back to the US sooner?

Once again thank you all!
