I see many people posting that they received an email notification when NOA2 was approved. Does anyone get email notifications of NOA1?

If not, then I'll quit checking my email every 5 minutes and just check my bank account for the check image.

Regarding the NOA2, do you automatically get an email if you put down your email address? Or is there something extra you need to do?

you can stop checking your email. ;)

Your check being cashed is what you're looking for. Once you see that it has been cashed look for your EAC# on the back.

You need your EAC # to register with uscis.gov and you will get automated updates for every 'touch' and for your approved I-129f aka I-797/NOA2 ...this is what you check obsessively until approval.

good luck!

some people have reported on getting an email for approval but not for NOA 1, just do what Kim said and have a look behind your check for a receipt number. Good luck!

We didn't get an email as we couldn't register to do so until the cheque was cashed. We didn't find out the cheque was cashed until after the NOA1 was sent.
